Shattered dreams and endless fears,

silent screams, with dried up tears.

Left all alone in a life that’s now lost,

you went away whilst I pay the cost.

Tragedy came and took you that day,

time has to move, my mind has to stay.

I try and wake up but I just can't be woken,

this nightmare that lingers has left me so broken.

Goodbye

I can't do this anymore, that's what I heard her say,

as she headed for that door a cold and dreadful day.

The fights the pain and sacrifice, from all that we've been through,

turned her heart to solid Ice and made her quite a shrew.

I let her down and made her cry, each time I would deceive,

it etched a road map in her eyes until she had to leave.

So now I'm left in disbelief, I hit my knees and cry,

she vanished like a sneaky thief and never said goodbye.
